Sheepdogs have been bred to herd sheep. It is in their blood, their DNA. I imagine that to a sheepdog, getting to herd sheep is like getting to breathe air, drink water, and (literally) fuck bitches.
Exactly. It's not a job if one is passionate enough. Never seen many got rich doing what they are passionate about though
Pilot
Pilots can make very good money.
My sister is a 777 Captain. When you near retirement on the big planes, they call it “dozing for dollars” as on long international trips some pilots are able to take a nap and get paid for it.
Pilots also have the best social life. After Doctors the next most respected job. Get's you the 10s without needing to compensate with high financial damage.
For me it would be top dealmaker in M&A or CEO of investment bank tbh ^^

it's not like James Bond, the reality of being a secret service agent may be quite unglamorous (like having a simple and boring life in a foreign country just to look like a local and pass information to your home agency). But regardless, I would also go for the CIA. The training and things that one learns over there are priceless (pragmatic psychology, some combat sports, politics, foreign languages, history, cultures, etc.).

But for me, the truth is that it just seems incredibly challenging, rewarding, and interesting if you were to be on a spec ops team. I understand there's a lot of admin to it as well, but so does every job.
This is what I wanted to do when 18 years old. I tried out and got pretty far in the pipeline, but then failed an academic test. I never quit though. Never ever quit.

VC/PE with good people is all about learning about industries and trying to problem solve. The job never gets old because industries are always changing. Even banking could be very fun if it was presented in the right light.
Second this - few jobs where you get to learn about companies and industries like VC/PE, the problem is the people can make it suck realy bad

Yeah high school history teacher + varsity coach. I think if money wasn’t a factor, this is a job that gives you the sense that you are doing something meaningful, having an effect on society and individuals, and also has pretty good wlb. Having winter, spring, summer break sounds fantastic.

Too many interests to focus on one thing. Music, history, technology, public policy, "alternative" men's fashion, architecture, theology, cosmology, cute dogs, film, finance/economics, etc. Classic case of paralysis of choice. So even if I had $10 billion there is no one job that would be my "dream" job. I'd get bored with it and want to do something else.
I actually think a lot of famous, hyper-successful people (not all, of course) aren't polymaths or persons with many interests. They're hyper-focused on certain topics and on achieving a specific goal.
Fisherman, specifically in a remote location, probably somewhere tropical. Hard work yet a simple life, get a good tan, sustainable. Would love it.
