Another year....another rant

So last year I was crying about not getting short listed for any job roles in energy trading. I got lucky and ended up on a nat gas prop trading desk. The desk performed so bad that I was not offered a permanent role after being there for a year. So after 12 months I am back on this forum to let off my anger. At least now I am not depressed.....but I am angry because I did not get short listed for shift trading roles after being on a trading desk for a year. These are entry level roles (mentioned in job description)and I don't understand how the fuck I don't qualify for this. The roles I applied to were based in different countries in Europe....I don't mind going to some Scandinavian country despite the cultural difference(I am Indian but London is very diverse and friendly)......If you had to put me against some prick from STEM degree who has no experience in energy trading, I guarantee you that I would outperform him....I taught myself advance calculus and probability in continuous time just incase....I know PnL attribution better than some prick right out of college and also have decent knowledge of time series forecasting .....I can forecast gas demand with 96% R^2 and also forecast electricity prices.....I will be very disappointed if these people are rejecting me because of some visa issue......because they mentioned that they encourage non-EU candidates to apply.....I honestly don't understand how I don't qualify for these trading roles....I have a master which focuses on energy trading so I know Oil, Gas and the fucking electricity grid(at least from economical perspective)....Not just that but i have two fucking master degrees....so for love of god.....give me the fucking job!!

You say the desk performed badly. What were your returns like?
