Need some information about GIR

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing well. The apps for GS FT Analyst positions are open (Australia). I have always been intrigued by GIR and was hoping if anybody here worked or had some i sight into the division?? What does the day look like?? Equity research??

Also, what can I do to stand out in my application?? I have ~3.6 from a target school and have done 2 internships at big4 before and am studying a masters degree, majoring in economics.
