Managing headhunters

Greetings from Portugal,

I'm a level 1-2 IB analyst working at a boutique in Lisbon, Portugal. Always had the dream of working in a big financial centre (i.e., London as NY seems impossible for non-US residents) and decided to start applying at the end of August.

One week after applying I was contacted by a HH who, after an initial call, presented me 3 opportunities. Although he warned me that August/September was a slow period for hiring, after I informed him about which opportunities I wanted to pursue he disappeared. I tried to reached him 2 times but he never replied.

How do you guys manage your relation with HH? Do you catch up every week? Do you have contacts in different HH companies or just one?

Really want to take the next step but looks that for someone who didn't studied in the UK HH are not willing to dedicate that much time.
