In terms of 'would it be better to join the Big 4' - I would remove this from consideration unless you've got an offer from either of them.
Regarding which offer to pick, I'm not sure - maybe pick a bank in which you're interested in particular, but the long & short of it is that it is definitely better than not having any summer at all, so unless you have any leads on a summer at a smaller boutique I would take it & apply for OCs personally

Who are the ACs with?
Join Big 4 Audit FIG group (3yrs), pivot to TS (1-2yrs), apply to IB FIG groups as A2
Dont think ive ever seen BB BO Audit to FO where as ive seen quite a few people make the jump from Big 4 audit (ACA).

Eh, this move is not as pretty as is often described on WSO.
At least for Deloitte:
Say you join in September 2024
There is 0 chance you can transfer until you’re done with all of your ACCA exams.
So 3 years to complete these until September 2027
Then, no one will take you into TS randomly. You’ll need to do a summer placement with them.
This likely means waiting until Summer 2028.
Then it depends. If they like you, you have a good partner that is happy to transfer you out, you’ll either be able to join TS very soon thereafter, or do one more busy season and join in Summer 2029 (seen it both ways).
You’ll then need to do AT LEAST 1 full year, but likely 2 to be able to move to a bank as an A2. So the most optimistic pathway is joining banking in 2030-2031. This is provided you still want to after 4-5 mind numbing years in audit and 2 in TS.
I say this as someone who knows multiple people that made the Audit -> TS move within Deloitte and was considering this move, AND as someone who spoke to people at BBs about it.
It does happen, and it’s a relatively decent way to break into banking.
But if you can, why not just do a masters in a target and try to break into banking after?
If you’re lacking internships, you can do a strong 2-year MFin in Europe like Bocconi or HSG. As someone with 2+ years of audit experience, trust me, this a way better life choice than audit for 5 years.

aint no way OP will do allat. He can apply for OC's from day 1 when he starts big4 audit
If you have an offer from a US bank then take that one?
Agree that Audit > Big 4 > TS > IB FIG is probably the most realistic path to IB from here.

I've seen a ton of people go from audit -> MBA -> IB
Your direct exit ops are limited and definitely can't go right to IB, but you can either lateral your way up or just do an MBA
