Career Advice as a Mexican

Right now I’m studying Finance in one of the most prestigious schools in Mexico and I’m looking to graduate and get a job in New York, in the area of IB, PE, HF, CO, AM, ER. What detailed and realistic advice would you give me to get into the industry?

Im from the region (not MX) and would recommend recruiting for local positions with international banks, and then trying to transfer to NY based groups that cover Latam. I think most BBs have local teams in CDMX.

LATAM is one of the regions with strong growth, so you already have the cultural and linguistic exposure to a key region.
The banks I work with are pretty much all expanding in your region and you could, after joining, lateral/move to the US afterwards. I am not an immigration attourney, so can't help with that aspect (but the companies will).
