Bring a resume

I signed up for a Lehman presentation at my school geared towards freshmen-juniors about jobs in their IBD/capital markets divisions. It's an RSVP event and it says "meet Lehman alumni from ___." Should I bring a resume to this thing? My GPA currently sucks (3.12) but I'm hoping to get it up to a 3.3 at the end of this semester, so I'm wondering if I should give it to recruiters while they can match a face to a name or to just wait.

I wouldn't be handing out resumes at this event. Get their contact information, make a favorable impression by being personable and knowledgable, and then contact them through email the following week. You can then send your resume out (guessing you're at a target so I wouldn't list the 3.12). You want the GPA to come up after they get to know you and can speak to your other strengths, not before.

latransplant makes a very important point. I know of people who had SHIT SHIT SHIT gpas but got SA jobs and FT offers. what is important is that you strike up a great rapport with your interviewer and nail the questions. make sure to also focus on fit questions and tell stories from your life. anecdotes that can subcommunicate positive characteristics are some of the most powerful tools you have in your interviewing arsenal.
