umich LSA VS columbia GS
Could you advise which option would be better for getting my resume noticed and securing more interviews? I'm concerned that UMich LSA and Columbia GS (School of General Studies) are not targeted for recruitment as much as Ross and CC & SEAS are. My goal is to work in IBD and consulting. I consider myself a traditional student, as I have only taken one gap year. Location might not be a major factor since I can apply for summer internships anywhere. I might be mistaken, so please feel free to offer your advice. Thanks!
Columbia GS hands down -- very hard to get recruited from UMich LSA given the competition with Ross, and at Columbia you should still have access to similar OCR as the rest of the school.

I think UMich's CS program is a bit stronger, but you would have to be admitted to it directly otherwise it is pretty difficult to declare a CS major.
This is not true. I just graduated from Michigan last year, you can switch to CS no problem.
Used to be able to switch major to CS with no restrictions but now you must be directly admitted or apply to transfer into it
