U5 arbitration

Was laid off along with many others at my firm and the reasons were clearly market driven (no duh but want to clarify). However when I got my U5 it stated “performance” as the cause for termination. In the exit interview I was told it was due to the market conditions and in a normal market I wouldn’t have been let go. Should I pursue U5 arbitration? Am I screwed from working at a BB? I already signed the termination papers before getting my U5 so did waive my right to even pursue arbitration?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated…this just feels like another nail in my professional coffin from the fall out of all this

I would consider reaching out to HR first to see if they'd amend the form (they probably hastily submitted a big batch, and it could've been a mistake), as that may be less of a headache than arbitration. If they're not willing to play ball, I would stick it to them if they said one thing and then submitted another because that's not right.
