Reuters reports cause of death of BofA IBD FIG Associate

NEW YORK, May 6 (Reuters) - An investment banker at Bank of America has died, the bank said on Monday.
The person died of natural causes, according to an email from the New York Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who confirmed details when asked about the case.
The person died of "acute coronary artery thrombus," the office said. The disease causes the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel of the heart.
Bank of America said "our focus is on doing whatever we can to support the family and our team, who is devastated."
The bank did not disclose the individual's name or age.
The associate was part of the financial institutions group (FIG) team that advises bank clients on deals, according to a source familiar with the situation, and was also a former member of the U.S. Green Beret special forces.
The person died on Thursday, according to a second person familiar with the matter. (Reporting by Saeed Azhar and Milana Vinn; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama and Christopher Cushing)

"He died of natural causes", yeah because having a heart attack in your 30s is perfectly natural and can't in anyway be related to him working 120 hours a week for 4 consecutive weeks.
Disgraceful how biased this piece is milanavinn.
bump
Bump - his father had a similar situation last year according to an article
What you forget to mention is that the guy in question had the heart attack at the age of...64. How is that in any way similar to a guy in his thirties, in perfect physical condition, who was a Green Beret up until July 2023?
Picture of the guy from the article. You are such a fucking joke acting in bad faith.
As per the article, the father was diagnosed with coronary artery disease, which can be hereditary
Not to say bofa is not to blame, but perhaps the cause of death was not the working environment alone but the mix of the genetic component + the working hours/lifestyle
Why the emotionally charged comment? I know folks in the group, and I’m also as upset as the next guy.
However, IB hours can definitely exacerbate the issue, which is the point I’m trying to get at. I’m not shifting blame
