OCR at Cornell AEM?
Hi everyone,
I am a high school senior who recently committed to Cornell Dyson for undergrad. I was wondering what OCR is like from Dyson, and which firms recruit on campus? Specifically, how good is OCR from BBs and EBs? How strong of a target is Dyson compared to other target schools and ivies? Also, although this is rare, I am ideally aiming for a buyside position after graduation, so I was wondering if PE/HF firms like KKR, Blackstone, and Bridgewater had OCR at Cornell, like they do at Wharton for example?

All the BBs except Credit suisse, all EBs except PWP. Blackstone is the only MF that comes, but a few Middle-Market PE shops recruit on campus as well.
The chances of getting a buyside gig out of Cornell are extraordinarily minimal. Even at Wharton only the top 1-2% of kids get it. Hell, there's so much competition that getting a banking gig isn't a walk in the park
Pretty much. I know a couple engineers going into prop trading and a few hotelies doing RE PE, but everything else is damn near impossible
Relax hardo, you're just a kid in highschool. In fact I can't say that a kid in HS with no industry experience even understand what PE firms really do. Congrats on Dyson but take a deep breath and realize that there's more to life than the prestige of your job. Breaking into buy-side is extremely rare in undergrad. Calm down and have some fun in college, because no one wants to work with a stickler obsessed with PE in HS.
