Miami Ohio Up Next

Miami University ranked #3 in nation for undergraduate teaching (tied with Harvard) and a top 10 program for entrepreneurship.

Loads of placements in IB this year- Goldman, EVR, Gugg, JPM, etc.

Not to mention the relationships they have with banks like William Blair, Keybank, and other regional banks who have CEOs who attended Miami. The school has produced the same amount of fortune-500 CEOs as MIT & Yale in its existence.

While it’s business school isn’t prestigious, it consistently ranks in terms of career outcomes for IB.

no where did anyone say target you clown I was highlighting an unrecognized pipeline for students who don’t have the highest stats

FYI, in the SA 23 cycle, 0 Miami kid is going to WB IB across all offices. Yet other state schools like Indiana and Illinois have 8-10 kids each

ranked how? by who? how do you measure undergrad teaching?

I agree outcomes are decent for some but literally nobody cares if xyz ranked you as abc just like how its obvious that you are the only guys that go around using the cringe term "public ivy"

Non-Target-Degen

more like #3 in the nation for professors who have no work experience. Finance dept. is crippling rapidly.

Wow I looked up the finance faculty and this is spot on. A good number are accountants (???) the rest have questionable paper topics (one guy has 5 different papers on IPO underpricing)

that “national stock pitch competition” is hosted by actual mouth breathers so who cares?

Not calling it a target by any means, but it’s  known to be a fratty place that sends a good number of bros from the midwest and Long Island to finance jobs in NYC and more so Chicago and regional spots like Cleveland, Indy etc.

Having lived in both Ohio and Texas, the Miami vibe is similar to the SMU vibe for those who are familiar. Rich kids partying hard and ending up where hard-partying rich kids tend to end up . . not usually a GS type of place, something “high finance” but also more chill.

Of course it’s all about the individual, I’m just saying what the stereotype is.
