Help! Coverage TMT vs Industrials

Lateral hire looking at July start date at a BB. Either have the chance to join TMT or industrials. Both top groups known to be sweaty with similar exits. However, I'm worried that TMT will be more susceptible to layoffs given the rapid decline in tech. Should there be a recession in 2023, tech would fall even further. Industrials has always seen pretty consistent deal flow across the board. I'm looking to be a career banker, so not worried about exits. Just longevity. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We already are in a recession and you should pick the group where you get along with the people best

I’ve done both. I’d pick industrials. You can learn TMT down the road if you wanted to. Industrials has more learning opportunities and will make you a better banker.

Like the unadjusted- only with a little bit extra.
