40-70% I'm getting 60% as a first year
are you at a BB or a boutique? First year eq research salary at BB is 55-65 am I correct? So you are getting around 35k?
From a few friends, I've gathered that research bonuses vary more from firm to firm than do IBD bonuses.
This is just second hand though, so I could be off the mark.
Im in UK On 35k GBP and I'll get a bonus of about 18k GBP, putting me on 53gbp, which is about 100k US
is it any different in fi research?
At the very least, you will probably see research from 3 or 4 seperate fixed income groups: Investment Grade Speculative Grade Macro/Strategy Asset Backed
40% to 70% as a first year analyst seems low? i will imagine that is what a first year research associate at a top tier BB is getting. a first year analyst should be getting >100%?
no. if you got 100% you would be on almost £80k. you would have to be top bucket ibk to get that. and we are talking research here. 40-70% in london sounds right
Yeah, only Corp fin and IBD homies would be pulling 80. I'll hit 50-55 k gbp first year with WAY less hours.
I have no idea about FI research. Whole different bag.
Yeah, I don't think 40-70% sounds off, and I can't imagine a first year research bonus breaking about 80% or so for the top bucket.
to clarify: when talking about first year analyst, are we talking about a fresh graduate in a research associate position OR are we talking about a first year lead analyst?
i will think a first year lead analyst (ie: someone with 2-3 years research associate experience) pulling off
I believe we are all talking about program analysts. The title varies from firm to firm.
obviously a lead analyst at a BB is going to make more than $60k+40-70% bonus.
i meant 1st year straight out of college.
any ideas on the the bonus figures for the FI side? high grade/high yield/strategy?
yeah, we're talking first year newbies.
