Highly agreed.

There should be limitations on how many accounts people can create as well. Allowing for people to make endless spam accounts results in higher user count but far lower post and comment quality.

There are too many trolls and cock-knockers on this site now. Basically everyone I know no longer reads or comments on here anymore.

You could have someone who hasn't worked a day in their life in IB spend their entire day, every day of the year, commenting stupid or false stuff on every post under different alt accounts roleplaying as some miserable and jaded analyst

Funniest

I've heard on campus from someone that the off-topic section is some old manager who used to work in corporate finance with 100+ wso spam accounts LARPing as random people and talking with himself all day during retirement lol would be crazy if true

I heard about this, what's the deal with that guy? Why doesn't he spend his retirement days doing anything fun / in real life? I've pretty much stopped reading wso after getting my internship lol
Why is some guy in his late 40s still on here regularly? Does he have any other hobbies or friends outside of the virtual world?

I have heard this as well - I think one of his co-workers or former co-workers mentioned this during a group lunch one time with people outside of the office and somehow that got around

Why isn't this guy blocked yet? Why is he still on here? I also heard his old manager was practically all of the really odd accounts historically on off-topic, like golden cinderbloke, phil leotendo and drumfy amongst many others

Lol that's quite strange and probably uncomfortable for others to deal with

I don't believe this. Those writing styles are way too different. As someone who has spent a lot of time on off topic, there are a group of different regular commenters who have very distinct voices, whether you like them or not. Someone would have to be a really damn good writer to mimic those personalities across years in a non-spoofy characeture sort of way.

I didn’t move it.

“your topic: Why do we not have a block user option in WSO yet? was moved to the Site Feedback Forum from the [term{term_old}:name] because it was in the wrong place.

Please make sure to select the proper forum for your future posts. This will make sure you get the most comments and that our mod team doesn't get overwhelmed!
