I think the Smart Watch is a dangerous game. The user may not realize that looking at the notifications from the watch is similar to just pulling your phone out and can be received that way. It poses a risk of appearing distracted, which can come at the worst moments.

I totally understand the use for them though, and they are great gadgets. I think if you can build the habit to truly ignore the notifications or mute the watch when in front of clients or your boss, then go for it.

On a fashion note, I don't think a smart watch looks bad. But nothing beats the look of a real watch.

Honestly I have to disagree
As a guy that’s frequently in meetings and boards, I like the fact that I can filter what’s happening or calling without taking out the phone, it’s more polite and subtle.

Buy an Apple Watch if you want to increase your chances for cancer imo. All of that EMF radiation sitting constantly on your wrist cannot be good. Already bad enough we're on our phones 24/7, I would avoid Apple and stick with the mechanical timepiece.
