Switching Office Locations
I have currently been working in ER around a year now in Chicago. Things have been going well but my fiancé just got a big job offer in New York. I am hoping I can ask my senior analyst,l if I can just work out of the New York office, but am thinking that might be a bad move. I just wanted to see if anybody has heard of associates working in different offices than their senior analysts and if this might be a bad idea to even ask or what. Any help is appreciated.
Interested in this topic too.
My firm has associates that work in different offices to their MD, its definitely possible. I think it depends on your MD's preferences.
Yeah we do too, just wanted to get peoples thoughts on asking to switch.
We have an associate who works overseas on our team. It actually works out because he can cover early calls or proof things we write overnight. Would be tough if you are the only associate though.
Bumping this.
Did you end up asking to move?
