DE Shaw Private Credit?
A headhunter reached out to me recently about a private credit job at DE Shaw. I was a little surprised because I typically associate them with more markets-oriented, hedge fund-y strategies.
Does anybody know anything about their credit group?

Aren't all these elite HF private credit arms just asset hoarding? Obviously they can't compete with a volume shop like Ares/BX and haven't seen one yet trying to differentiate by doing hairy/non-sponsor/distressed/etc. private credit.
