Private equity internship before a MBB ?

Hello,

I'm currently doing an M&A internship in a BB (GS/JP/MS) in Europe but I realized that I doesn't want to do this job (not especially because of the schedules but rather because I feel like I come home every night without having learned anything).

Hence, I would like to do an internship in an MBB but given the timing it could not be for my next internship (my next internship starts in 4 months so I would not have time to prepare for the case studies from here to the interviews). For my next internship, I would therefore like to do an internship which will position me well for a recruitment for an internship in MBB next year. I therefore thought of doing an internship in private equity because it would allow me to continue to develop "financial" skills while progressing in strategic analysis. Does this seem coherent to you or do you think that it is better that I do something else completely different (for example an internship in a GAFAM) to have a more original profile (and perhaps to develop additional skills) ?

Thank you in advance for your help !
