McKinsey Sophomores - What is going on?
Seeing a lot of McKinsey sophomore summer business analysts on LinkedIn, most working at regional offices (Denver, Austin, etc). This is surprising because most of the ones I've seen aren't diversity (Saw white and asian males), nor are they from targets (saw UT, UCSD, IU etc). Does this mean that McKinsey SSBA is less competitive for regional offices, and have they stopped specifically hiring diverse candidates?
Also, I was curious if my profile was solid enough for McKinsey SSBA. I'm currently a freshman at Northwestern/UChicago, and did an internship the summer before college at a hedge fund, and currently working remotely for a boutique IB. Should I try and get something consulting related before applying for the McKinsey SSBA internship?
Thanks for all the help.
Touch grass. But seriously anything you find freshman summer is good. I recruited for my big 4 consulting internship sophomore summer with a search fund internship freshman summer. I know other interns who didn’t have any experience besides ECs they were involved in.
Yeah does anyone have more info on this?
