McK Prob Solv Test

Hello all,

Need to take one of the above soon. Any info on what kind of math concepts they might throw at you? My info thus far is that its basic math and algebra that you apply to answer qs based on case facts they give you.

Somehow I just think McK might put in stuff thats more complex. I recall seeing discussions in this forum about people having to solve multiple equations to figure the vals of multiple unknown variable values and having to deal with probabilities on a fairly frequent basis. While I can imagine that may be the case in the actual case interviews, just wanted to know how hot and heavy it gets for the initial test itself.

Needless to say, any info would be greatly appreciated.

yeah i'll concur with what has been said. you'll just have to use basic math to solve problems...like a fairly complex and detailed word problem.

Thanks guys (or gals as you may be). Much appreciated. Any additional info anyone has to offer is welcome.

Well, i managed to get a few sample questions from one of the recent tests and it seemed quite straightforward. So my question is, do they use it as a screening device to further weed down the first round interview list, or do they just use the scores as one more metric alongside first round performance to determine who gets second round invites? Again, thanks in advance for any info.

I thought I'd add some details in case anyone has to take this.

All questions pertained to reading data & making calculations from graphs and charts. Very similar to a psychometric test I've taken, if anyone has any experience with that. Subjects were business-based questions (revenue, costs, etc), currencies and population-specific questions. 21 questions, 21 minutes.

charlie, you're in final rounds now? Are you an experienced/off-season applicant?
