Was poking through Canadian bank stocks and saw Scotia + CIBC has a 7%+ dividend. That is what the dumpster fire Laurentian’s yield is at…
Curious if this is from Scotia’s international exposure, and CIBC’s mortgage book? Or is it those factors increasing their likelihood of a dividend cut?
I know RBC/TD/BMO are better banks, but that seems like a hearty disconnect.
