Multi-family office exit opportunities.

I’m finishing up interviews for an associate position at a multi-family office for high-net worth individuals and businesses.

I was wondering what type of exit opportunities I would have. The role would be related to investment research (including modeling), buying/selling assets (equities, bonds, real estate, etc.) and some financial planning for these clients.

Is this good experience? I’ve heard a lot of bad things about PWM on here and I don’t really know if this position is considered that? Where could I go from this position?

I’m a canadian CPA and have passed level 1 of the CFA (will be writing level 2 next summer). I’ve also been contacted for a few advisory roles at the big4, so i’m wondering if that would be better?

Would really like to avoid messing up this decision.
